The call to love our neighbour is central to our Christian faith. Jesus even goes so far as to say that loving God and loving our neighbour are inseparably connected (Gospel of Matthew 22). As Walter Brueggemann writes: “One of the misfortunes in the long history of the church is that we have mistakenly separated love of God from love of neighbor, and – always – they are held together in prophetic poetry.” In The Art of Neighbouring series, we will revisit this greatest commandment (aka: the double love command) by sharing stories and exploring simple, embodied practices that help us love well.
Due to a controlled power outage this weekend, our gathering at the Japanese Hall will be cancelled. Take this opportunity to love your neighbour!
