Groups

Smaller mid-week gatherings are where we develop a sense of belonging and experiment with following Jesus together in daily life.

At Artisan we understand that your need for community is shaped by your unique circumstances and life stage. So we offer different pathways into deeper community.

  • Want healing in your faith journey? Group Spiritual Direction offers a small, safe container for your story to be witnessed and to witness others’ stories.
  • Want to be known and build longer-term relationships? Neighbourhood Groups offer the mutual care and enrichment of sharing life with a set group of people.
  • Want spiritual growth, but not yet ready for ongoing commitment? Pop-Up Groups offer short-term meetups to go deeper on a particular topic or sermon series.
  • Want casual opportunities to socialize? Check out community-led Unique Groups.

How to join a group:

Download our app and start browsing the various group offerings this season. Or, visit the groups page online. (Groups at Artisan are powered by Church Centre. If you don’t already have an account, you will be asked to create one first.)

Group Spiritual Direction

Group Spiritual Direction (GSD) is designed to help participants open to God in all of life through ongoing, attentive witness to their own story as well as those of their fellow group members. GSD is an ancient practice, but still new to our community, and quite different than our other Group offerings. So we want to make very sure you know what you’re signing up for. If you are curious or interested in GSD, before we can place you in a group you must have attended BOTH a Preview Lunch and an Experience GSD Night.

Neighbourhood Groups

Neighbourhood Groups (NGs) are hubs of congregational care and spiritual practice. They aim to provide a place of belonging where your needs become known to others and an opportunity to live out Artisan’s vision for following Jesus.

Pop-Up Groups

Join one of our Pop-Up Groups for a 6-8 week journey into deeper connection and spiritual growth. These short-term groups are the perfect opportunity to explore different topics and themes that might interest you, while getting a taste of what regular group involvement offers. Test the waters, engage with others, and go deeper in your walk with Jesus.

Unique Groups

These mid-week gatherings are initiated and led by members of our community (i.e. not staff). They gather people for social connection or creative practices.
